Shemesh Israel Sexual Recovery is a two-week Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Orthodox Jewish sex addicts who are looking to make great strides in their sexual recovery in the unique spiritual environment available in Israel.
Shemesh Israel Sexual Recovery is for Orthodox sex addicts living in the United States, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, and countries around the world, as well as Israel.
Clients may already be in their own private therapy at home, while others may not have not yet started therapy of their own. This program is designed to accommodate those who have no prior experience with therapy as well as those who are feeling stuck or unable to make signifcant strides in their personal recovery.
Shemesh Israel is the only program of its kind, offering a Shomer Shabbos, Glatt Kosher, and Torah-oriented environment in which sex addicts can do intensive recovery work. This program has the approbation and is under the guidance of rabbanim from across the Orthodox spectrum.
Shemesh Israel is under the clinical direction of Brad Salzman, LCSW, CSAT-S, who was trained and certified by Dr. Patrick Carnes. Brad graduated from Yale University and Columbia University. Brad founded the New York Sexual Addiction Center in Midtown Manhattan and Monsey, NY, as well the KIVUN Israel Recovery Center.
Clients who are looking to recover can spend time in the Holy Land of Israel and recover privately away from the prying eyes of people in their communities. Clients can meet other Orthodox Jews to join them in their recovery journeys in a safe, confidential environment where privacy is protected.
Please note: Shemesh Israel is only for those who are serious about this kind of rigorous processs. It is not for those people who are not fully committed to getting better and making major changes in their lives to save their marriages, their families, their careers, and their self-respect.
